  • This Friday ETSU is participating in a Relay for Life in support of the American Cancer Society.  This year University School student, Jacob Worley, and his family, have formed a team in efforts to raise money and attention to cancer.  Jacob and his family are doing this in celebration of his 10th year in remission!  To raise money Jacob will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win one of many prizes.  The prizes total over $1200.  Tickets are $2 a ticket or 3 tickets for $5.  Please see Jacob at any time to ask questions or to get a ticket.  At the end of school on Wednesday and Thursday, April 23rd & 24th, Jacob will have a table outside of the office selling tickets.  Thank you!

  • Senior Information Needed by April 28th!  The Journalism class is currently working on several videos for graduation.  We are asking seniors to turn in one baby picture, one casual picture and any other pictures they have from high school.

    Also, seniors need to turn in a quote they like and what they are going to do in the future (college, degree, or what they will be doing next year).

    Also, over the next few days we will be filming the I remember when ..... and Thank You videos.  Seniors please be thinking of your I remember when story.

    If possible, could you have the pictures, quote, and plans in by April 28th


  • SGA VP Election:  Sophomores interested in running for SGA Vice-President must sign the campaign rules agreement prior to Thursday, April 24th, in order to be included on the ballot.  If you do not sign up, you will not be included on the ballot!  Please meet in Ms. Campbell's room during study period or after school.  Voting for SGA VP will take place on Monday, April 28th, during study period.  See Ms. Bragg or Ms. Campbell if you have questions


  • Rescheduled!   England Trip:  There will be a meeting on Tuesday, April 29th, in the library, at 6:00 p.m., for any current 7th -12th grade students who are interested in going to England in March, 2016.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Johnson


  • Cabaret!!  Join us for the Cabaret on Friday, May 2nd, in the University School Gym, for a great night of Music and Laughter.  Pizza will be served beginning at 6:00 p.m. and the Music will begin at 7:00 p.m.  Cost is $8.00 for 2 slices of pizza, drink, dessert and a great show. Maximum of $32 per household. Show only is $5 at the door.  Contact Ms. Ross or Dr. Borden for tickets


  • Announcing the UH Singers  Promenade Concert in preparation for Prom Weekend.  The event will be held on Thursday, April 24th, at 7:00 p.m., in the ETSU Bud Frank Theatre.  You will hear music featuring favorite classics, beloved American folk songs and fun music from the movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"  Bring your prom date to this free night of great choral music.  Start your special weekend off in a special way!

  • Candidates are being requested to fill positions on the University School Foundation .  The Foundation serves a very important purpose: to operate exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary, and educational purposes and more specifically for the support, improvement, and perpetuation of the University School of East Tennessee State University.

    Nominations will be accepted and voted upon by the membership on Monday, May 19th, according to the bylaws. Please only nominate those who have agreed to be candidates.

    The following eleven positions are available on the Executive Committee (voting members):

    President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Fund Raising Committee Chair, Elementary School Parent Representatives (2), Middle School Parent Representatives (2), and High School Parent Representatives (2).

    Please circulate this message to potential candidates that you may know.

    The University School staff is asked to provide at least 3 faculty members as representatives—one from each school. These are non-voting member positions.

  • Juniors and Seniors:  Prom tickets will be sold in front of the office during both lunches and in Ms. Day's room before and after school.  Tickets are $15 a person.  Seniors at University School are free!  Seniors:  come by the ticket booth to get information on the pictures and to nominate for prom king and queen.  All students attending prom must sign a prom rules form.  They are available at the ticket booth.  If you have any questions, ask Ms. Day
    Prom Portrait Information has now been posted on the Prom Webpage .  The Prom will be held on Saturday, April 26th, on the lower ballroom of Carnegie Hotel, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.  Students who wish to attend will be required to sign a dance contract.  Please review the Dress Code for the event prior to purchasing prom attire.  See   Prom Webpage  for information
