Care of Equipment and Operatory

Leave operatory and equipment in the required condition at the end of the clinic session as follows:

  1. Turn off the light and align light arm and bracket table.
  2. Disinfect the saliva ejector holder and clean the saliva ejector screen in the ultrasonic cleaner, and clean the suction trap.
  3. Flush saliva ejector and central suction with designated solution at the end of the clinic session.
  4. Position the back of the chair perpendicular to the floor.
  5. Place the rheostat on the chair in a plastic bag.
  6. Turn off all control knobs and the master switch.
  7. Report any broken equipment by completing an equipment repair form (including instructor's name) found in the file with clinic forms. Place the completed form in Mr. Miller's mail box.
  8. Students are responsible for their own instruments and the clinic grade will be affected if any instruments or supplies are left in the cubicle at the end of the session.
