Program Overview

The Radiography program is designed for students who have completed two years of pre-professional college work inclusive of general education and allied health core courses. General education requirements must be completed as outlined in the university catalog.  The curriculum integrates didactic and clinical instruction with increasing expectations at each level to prepare the student to competently practice in the health care community.

Upon successful completion of the degree requirements, students are eligible to apply for admission to write the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Successful completion of the ARRT examination provides the graduate with the qualifications to practice as a registered technologist in radiography.

The Registry requires candidates to be of good moral character.  Convictions of misdemeanors or felonies, with exception of misdemeanor speeding violations must be reported to the ARRT.  Individuals with convictions may be eligible to take the registry if reviewed and approved by the ARRT Ethics Committee.  The ARRT may be contacted at (651) 687-0048 for individual consultation.
