The curriculum includes both didactic and clinical education. The first two semesters of the program include two days (16 hours) per week of clinical experience. Semester three includes five days (40 hours) per week of clinical experience. The fourth and fifth semesters include three days (24 hours) per week of clinical experience. Students are assigned to a “home” clinical site and required to rotate to one other clinical facility at the end of the third semester and will remain there for the fourth semester.

All students must obtain clinical experience at a Level I Trauma Center during the course of the program. During the program, students progress through the stages of observation, assisting, and finally performing radiographic procedures. Student expectations of clinical performance are outlined during orientation.
