Admission to the programs in the Department of Allied Health Sciences is selective. Students must first apply and be admitted to ETSU. However, this admittance to the university does not assure acceptance into the programs.

One class per year is admitted for all programs. Students are required to attend designated consecutive semesters to complete the programs. Admission to a program is determined by an advisory committee which convenes approximately two months prior to the beginning of the semester. Each applicant is evaluated on the basis of academic record, a personal interview, and experience.

All programs offered in the department call for a high degree of individual motivation, good physical health, and manual dexterity. Instruction is individualized and performance standards are exacting.
