ETSU International
Friendship Families Program
Student Registration
The International Friendship Family Program (IFFP) is
designed to assist new international students in making the
transition to living here in America. If you apply for IFFP, we will
have a faculty or staff volunteer contact you by email prior to your
arrival, arrange to pick you up at the airport, provide initial
housing for up to 5 days if needed, help you move in to your campus
housing, take you shopping for things you might need, and show you
around the city so you know the location of places like grocery
stores, retail stores, banks, etc. We will also arrange for an ETSU
student volunteer to show you around the campus. We hope this
program will make your first days here less stressful and get you
off to a successful start in your studies here. Once you are
accepted at ETSU, we will send you more information and an
application for International Friendship Families Program Student
Enrollment.
IMPORTANT: Participation
in this program is VOLUNTARY.
Students should apply for the program only if they are
genuinely interested in participating in it. Any
changes in your plans to participate in the program should
be communicated immediately to Dr. Brent Morrow
(morrowb@etsu.edu).
