potential; Function of Position Responsible to the Manager of Athletic Business and Ticket Operations for providing coordination, organization, and planning for all areas of athletic business and ticketing; assisting in all financial management for the athletics department; overseeing distribution and sale of tickets, as well as handling all pass lists for each athletic event; assisting in game day operations of all athletic events; and performing other related duties as assigned. Essential Functions - Assists with all matters relating to ticket sales, and all other financial matters. - Manages and maintains the daily operations of the business/ticket office. - Ensures that all ticketing guidelines are in full compliance with university, state and NCAA guidelines (specifically complimentary admissions). - Coordinates with all head and assistant coaches all ticket related issues. - Assists in the preparation and management of the budget for business/ticket operations. - Develops, manages and maintains computerized records of season, pre-game, and game day ticket sales. - Assists with ordering process for season, pre-game and game day tickets. - Works with marketing and promotions in developing season and single game ticket plans and promotional activities including price promotions and giveaways. - Reconciles receipts for all athletic ticket sales including cash deposits, credit card deposit and summary, and check registers. - Assists in record keeping for special events, summer camps, etc. - Handles special requests and problems of the customer. - Supervises part-time ticket sellers and ushers. - Remains in full compliance with NCAA, University, and Southern Conference rules. - Complies with all NCAA rules and regulations, and acknowledges this compliance as part of an annual evaluation process. - Signs an NCAA Compliance Statement annually. Secondary Functions - Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge and Abilities - Knowledge of basic accounting. - Knowledge of computers (preferably TicketMaker 5.0, spreadsheets and word processing). - Ability to communicate effectively. - Ability to work independently and make decisions. Supervision Given and Received Performs under general supervision. Determines own methods of performing assigned work. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or sports management; one year of related experience.
