potential; Function of Position Responsible to the Associate Director for evaluating and approving transfer credit from other institutions with regard to incoming students; developing curriculum outlines for articulated transfer programs; working with academic officers from partnering community colleges in the articulation process; coordinating work flow; providing leadership and supervision to support staff; and performing other related duties as assigned. Essential Functions -Coordinates transfer and readmission process; oversees distribution of the work flow for the evaluation of transcripts and admissions decisions of both transfer students and readmission students as well as the entry of these applications and transcript evaluations into the SIS system. -Prepares correspondence for transfer and readmission students including acknowledgement of application with a list of what is needed for an admission decision to be made, acceptance letters, evaluations of transfer work to both applicant and appropriate academic department, etc. -Determines and posts all Advanced Placement credit, CLEP credit, military credit retro-credit, and other exam credit other than the university's own challenge exam credit; awards foreign school credit equivalent to ETSU courses after determining the guidelines for a foreign country's university. -Integrates TBR and university policies into the transfer process; clarifies policy and guidelines and any related effects. -Coordinates articulation of individual courses from other colleges and universities as well as program-by-program articulation for selected feeder schools.

changes, course deletions, and course number changes for ETSU and all of the
automated systems' schools (

revisions and development of new articulated programs with community colleges

-Meets with articulation officers/faculty from community colleges to facilitate implementation of articulated programs. -Works forty percent of time in the articulated programs office; serves on the Common Core Conversion Committee, the General Education Advisory Committee, and the Tennessee Board of Regents New General Education and Degree Programs. Secondary Functions -Manages transfer database; enters all required data into the automated system and maintains data. -Tests and debugs changes to ensure all programs needed in the transfer and readmission process produce evaluations, reports, etc., correctly. -Determines courses that would be required for the holder of a bachelor's degree to earn either a new certificate, associate or second bachelor's degree program at ETSU (includes students who have earned their degree at another institution or at ETSU); notifies students, appropriate academic department, and financial aid office after determination of required courses is completed. -Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge and Abilities -Knowledge of university policies and procedures. -Knowledge of university admission requirements. -Knowledge of university courses and programs including course content and equivalencies from a variety of other colleges and universities. -Knowledge of the Student Information System (SIS) and its role in the admissions and articulation processes. -Ability to integrate university and TBR policies into the transfer process. -Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions. -Ability to evaluate college level degree credit courses. -Ability to communicate effectively. -Ability to supervise and train staff. Supervision Given and Received Performs under general supervision. Determines own methods of performing assigned work. Supervises classified employees. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; two to four years of related experience.
