Function of Position
Candidate will participate in a variety of ongoing sponsored research at
laboratory and field scale.
Primary responsibilities are to provide overall support to ongoing and
anticipated projects. The
projects are both laboratory scale and field-based and involve bench- and
pilot-scale experimentation as well as literature and technical report
review, with the opportunity to develop projects reflective of
ideas/experience of candidate.
Essential Functions

Directs laboratory activities for sponsored research.

Develops proposals.

Prepares technical reports and manuscripts.

Supervises the laboratory for undergraduate and graduate students.

Manages projects.
Secondary Functions

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities
-
Knowledge of groundwater remediation.

Knowledge of water and soils analyses.

Ability to prepare for technical reports and manuscripts.

Ability to communicate effectively.
Supervision Given and Received
Performs under general supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental
health, environmental chemistry, or related field; must have training in
groundwater and soils analyzes.
