Function of Position
Responsible to the Business Director for the Office of Practice for performing a
variety of professional and technical duties related to the operation of the
Faculty Network practices; ensuring the clinics budgets remain in balance;
collecting and compiling data in preparation of budget proposals and grant
requests; preparing reports for both internal and external recipients; and
performing other related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
-
Maintains responsibility for the daily functions of tracking necessary data of
expenses, payroll, etc. for all revenue steams for all College of Nursing
clinics.

Trains
Site Coordinators on budget processes and provides support to all Site
Coordinators, Clinic Directors and specific personnel required to submit
budgeting information.

Maintains monthly expenses, payroll and revenue required for timely submission
of cost reports, UDS reports, etc.

Prepares
monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.

Maintains responsibility for oversight of initiating, maintaining and monitoring
the credentialing of all nurse practitioners and facilities in the College of
Nursing Faculty Network practices.

Assists
the Business Director in preparation of federal, state and local government
reports required for Federally Qualified Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics
and Urgent Care Facilities.

Maintains responsibility for accurate monthly spreadsheet design for cost
reporting data obtained for revenue and budget analysis.

Extracts
data from Banner and INB Banner for reporting monthly financial costs for HRSA
Grant, TDOH Health Access Grant, Exposure Data, INC Data Warehouse and Safety
Net for all College of Nursing Faculty Network practices.

Completes individual project assignments requiring assembling of data, data
analysis and drafting reports and spreadsheets.

Assists
in the Business Director absence.
Secondary Functions
-
Provides
credentialing backup and report assistance for HealthPro XL and Info Point
Users.

Maintains responsibility for day-to-day interaction pertaining to providers
credentialed with Medicare, TN, VA and NC Medicaid, United Healthcare, Cigna
Healthcare, PHP/Cariten, BlueCross BlueShield of TN, and other health plans
added.

Maintains nurse practitioners and facility files of licensure, DEA registration,
vitae and other certificates.

Reviews
practices invoices and prepare monthly revenue and expenditure budget
performance reports.

Prepares
and generates monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports relating to financial data
consisting of provider and patient demographics.

Assists
the Business Director with monitoring facility budgets for potential expenditure
overruns and budget savings.

Assists
the Business Director in writing and/or reviewing policies and procedures.

Assists
Billing and Collections Specialist with software set-ups, values and database
maintenance.

Assists
the Billing Specialists in electronic filing and generating reports from
HealthPro XL and Practice Analytics.

Develops
and makes presentations.

Attends
meetings, seminars and training programs.
-
Performs
other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities
-
Knowledge of state, university, and Tennessee Board of Regents policies and
procedures.

Knowledge of budget and accounting principles.

Knowledge of FQHC, UDS, and Medicare Cost reporting guidelines and requirements.

Knowledge of credentialing and CAQH processes.

Knowledge of computer systems and other software applications, data analysis,
spreadsheets and financial statements.

Ability
to function independently and communicate effectively.

to maintain confidentiality regarding medical and financial information.

to handle detailed work with accuracy and complete assigned tasks with minimum

Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Business Administration required, bachelor’s degree
preferred; five years experience in business/accounting capacity, advance
spreadsheet use and prior data mining experience.
