Function of Position

 

This position is administratively responsible to the employing university with task supervision provided by the director.  The specialist evaluates the validity and correctness of active families first cases completed by case manager and proposed closures initiated by case manager for the appropriate outcome based on the established policies and procedures for the Families First program; determine completeness of development, correctness of the decision and validity of information by examining documentation, analyzing records, and through personal contacts.

 

Essential Functions

 

-        Evaluates and audits validity and correctness of Families First cases and files completed by Work Participation Coordinator (WPC) and relays evaluation and audit to Directors and Assistant Vice-President.

-        Determines completeness of files and validity of information entered into the DHS ACCENT system by examining documentation analyzing records through personal contacts with WPCs.

 

Secondary Functions

 

-        Attends training sessions and program meetings.

-        Provides feedback for internal monitoring.

-        Prepares and maintains records and reports.

 

Knowledge and Abilities

 

-        Experience with TDHS Families First Program and Accent System

 

 

Supervision Given and Received

 

Performs under general supervision.  Directors will review work submitted by Service Review Coordinator.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Undergraduate degree from accredited College.  Computer and communication skills.
