Chief Executive Officer of the Division,
reports to the Vice President for Administration and is a member of
the President's Council; provides leadership for services of departments;
represents the Division to on and off-campus groups; develops and
approves policies and procedures, budgets, staff appointments, salaries,
requisitions and travel requests; evaluates services and provides
leadership for strategic planning; serves on Tennessee Board of Regents
Student Affairs Subcouncil; Chairs the Technology Access Fee Committee,
and Student Affairs Council; advises students and student organization
leaders, counsels with parents.

Assists with supervision and management
of the Division; conducts research on students; has oversight responsibility
for the departments of Disability Services, Adult, Commuter and Transfer
Services, Orientation and Preview programs, and serves as the Student
Affairs liaison for the Advisement Resources and Career Center; serves
as liaison for Tennessee Board of Regents student insurance, serves
as administrative representative for the custom ETSU ring; advises
the Student Government Association; provides administrative support
for three retention programs - the Early Semester Progress Report,
the Freshman Success Program, and the Retention Management System

The Multicultural Affairs
Office offers year round programs to expose students, faculty and
staff to other cultures and ethnicities. Academic tracking and early
warning systems help students of color to be academically successful.
Additionally, the office provides peer-to-peer mentoring, as well
as orientation sessions to help acclimate students of color to campus
life. The director serves as an advocate for students of color, advises
the Black Affairs Association, the Gospel Ensemble and produces an
annual report detailing multiculturalism on campus

Coordinates the New Student Orientation
and Preview programs, and the academic appeals process. Advises student
judicial courts, the university judicial board, and serves as a campus
judical officer. Administers and provides oversight for the student
activities allocation process. Serves as an office liaison for campus
emergency response and on the campus critical incident response team.
