ITV provides assistance in the facilitation of the classroom sites on and off campus. Orientations are held each semester to provide information, review all procedures and answer any questions regarding operational procedures.
An ITV staff member delivers and picks up classroom and library materials between Kingsport and main campus on Mondays and Wednesdays. The courier leaves main campus at 10:30 am and returns after collecting the materials from Kingsport.
We also use next day express shipping to send materials to and from main campus, Walters State Greeneville, Morristown and Sevierville, TN.
If you have a section of streaming students, and give tests that are not online, or the course involves other activities that may require the streaming students to come to a “live classroom”, they may come to campus or to one of your distant sites. If there are not enough seats to accommodate all your streaming students, we will provide an additional location and a facilitator.
For logistical questions or to make a request regarding materials or exams contact Dia Smith.
Students enrolled in synchronous classes are extended the opportunity to evaluate our services. Surveys are completed for selected courses and sections. This survey gives us important feedback, allowing us to better address our students concerns and needs.
Faculty members are asked to complete a questionnaire to obtain feedback regarding faculty’s experience in teaching an ITV course and to help continue to meet the needs of the ITS faculty.
Departments are responsible for administering SAI’s for on-campus sections. For off-campus sections, departments can send SAI packets through Information Technology Services.
A faculty member with large enrollment numbers may request an individual to assist in the preparation, grading and other duties relating to their synchronous courses.
A classroom facilitator will be scheduled for the purpose of giving make-up exams if a make-up exam schedule does not exist for your course.
