Professional In Human Resource Certificate Program           

The Professional in Human Resources Certificate Program is a rigorous program designed primarily for individuals seeking certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).

This strategic course supports career advancement by building confidence to manage HR challenges. You will benefit from learning from an instructor who is an experienced certified practitioner and by networking with other HR professionals. After successfully completing the program, you'll receive a certificate from East Tennessee State University as well as up to 2.2 continuing education units (CEUs).

Classes begin March 8th and will meet every Tuesday evening from 5:30pm-8:30pm on ETSU’s main campus, running for 8 weeks with last class meeting on April 26th.

Cost is $700.00, which includes course materials. Each participant will receive the complete HRCP Program Print Edition.

Pharmacy Technician Certification Training Course

This course provides an overview of skills and knowledge required to function successfully as a pharmacy technician.  Every topic cannot be covered during class, therefore, some self-study will be required.  The course may be used for individuals working in retail or hospital pharmacies to prepare for the PTCB exam or to improve their job skills.

Pharmacy technicians work in community or hospital pharmacies, assisting pharmacists in handling medications and serving patients.  Individuals passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board examination become nationally certified pharmacy technicians.

The cost of the course is $400.00 if registered and paid by September 15th, then $500.00 after September 15th.

The registration fee covers textbook and certificate of completion.

The Pharmacy Technician Exam is a separate fee not covered in registration fee.

Clinical Medical Assistant

The class consists of 112 hours of instruction, plus 60 hours of review training. Textbook is included in registration fee. Class will not meet the week of July 4, 2015.

The program fee of $900 includes the textbook and a certificate of completion. The cost increases to $1,000 after May 2, 2015.

Clinical medical assistants can pursue employment as health care professionals in a physician's office or a clinical setting by helping with procedures, caring for patients and performing simple laboratory tests. There are no refunds within a week of the course, or after the course begins.
