The WCC will be operating from a temporary location in Sherrod Library from July 13 through August 23 while floors 3-5 in Warf-Pickel Hall are closed.

Our temporary offices will be Study Rooms 135, 136, and 137 on the first floor (main stacks) in Sherrod.

We won't have a direct phone line but we will be checking our voicemail (439-7848) twice daily (9 am and 2 pm).

Established in 1996, the ETSU Writing and Communication Center serves the writing and speaking needs of ETSU students, faculty and staff through one-to-one tutoring, classroom instruction and a variety of workshops and programs. The purposes that guide our work are:

  • To promote excellence in writing and oral communication by through offering programs and services for ETSU students, faculty and staff interested in writing or speaking professionally, academically and/or creatively.
  • To improve the writing and speaking abilities of ETSU students in all disciplines and at all grade levels.
  • To provide ETSU faculty with instructional and professional support through in-class workshops and individual consultations.
  • To improve the writing and oral communication abilities of international students at ETSU by offering programming and services designed to meet their unique needs.
