The cost to attend a public
university in Tennessee
is reasonable and competitive.
Tuition cost varies based
upon classification in
the following categories:
- Full-time student
(enrolled for 12 or more

Fees are subject to change
on an annual basis. International
students should include
funding for 10-11 weeks
of breaks and other required
expenses. Full-time students
pay the same amount of
tuition for 12 or more
semester hours during the
Fall and Spring semesters.
Summer tuition is based
upon the total semester
hours of credit.
Application Fee The application fee for
new applicants (U.S. residents)
seeking undergraduate admission
is $15.00. This is a non-refundable,
one-time fee. International
applicants on the undergraduate
level pay a $25.00 application
fee.
University Housing
There is no requirement
for students to live on
campus. Residence halls
and apartment units are
available for single men
and women on campus. The
cost range is $1,136.00 -
$1,604.00 per semester,
depending upon the facility.
Single occupancy ranges
from $2,272.00 - $2,916.00
per semester depending
upon the facility. Additional
university apartments are
available to a limited
number of students and to
married students. Information
can be obtained from the
Office of Housing and Residence
Life.
Meal Programs Various
meal programs are available
but are not required. Students
may choose the program
which best meets their
individual needs. Depending
upon the number of meals
per week, costs range from
$799.00 - $1,084.00 per
semester.
Textbooks The estimated cost for
textbooks for full-time
students is $300.00 - $400.00
per semester.
