ADVICE FOR NEW STUDENTS: Take advantage of the opportunity you have for next few years to expand your horizons. Visit cultural resources the university and surrounding area has to offer. Go to plays, recitals, historical sites, concerts, and lectures. Inquire about subjects outside your chosen discipline and challenge your own thinking and established ideas. Enjoy the natural beauty of this region and explore its rich history. Life is short so don’t look back in 30 years and say “when I had the chance at ETSU I wish I had taken the time to …”
