Best Thing About ETSU: It’s a wonderful academic institution
Advice to New Students: Be active on campus
My freshman year of college I attended a different university but soon found that it wasn’t for me. After looking at various schools I came to visit ETSU and knew immediately that this is where I wanted to go. Besides being a wonderful academic institution, ETSU and Johnson City are located so close to many opportunities. Music venues, the Appalachian Trail, the Nolichucky River, Knoxville, and Asheville are but a few of the exciting things the area has to offer.
When it comes to the university itself, the academic and social opportunities are endless. ETSU offers nearly 200 programs of study and has just as many social organizations. The willingness of faculty to assist students here is outstanding; many will go out of their way to offer guidance.
College is the chance for one to grow and mature away from home, and I can’t think of a better place than ETSU to do so. From the time that I arrived until now, I have been very happy with my choice and would recommend ETSU to anyone
