About the Honors Program
The ETSU Honors College offers three cross-campus Honors programs (designed for any major) as well as a growing number of honors program specific to degree programs (“honors-in-discipline” programs). The University Honors Scholars Program is our original honors program at ETSU, begun in 1993. University Honors Scholars are selected competitively among applications from prospective freshmen who meet the 29+ ACT (1240 SAT, excluding writing score). Criteria for selection to the program include assessment of high school curriculum, involvement in extra- or co-curricular activities, letters of reference, and written response to an essay question. University Honors Scholars are supported in part by a series of named scholarship endowments, listed below, designated for this prestigious program.
