COMPASS Scheduling – to schedule to take the COMPASS test, contact the University Testing Center at (423)439-6708 or 6709. Students are required to bring a valid photo ID. The COMPASS test is a computerized test and is not timed. University Testing Center location: Room 208, Old College of Medicine Building (building #12 on campus map. Most tests begin at 9:00 a.m. Verify date and time with the ETSU University Testing Center.

- If you wish to challenge your DSP placement in DSP courses based on ACT/SAT scores or prior COMPASS test results a $20.00 non-refundable fee is charged. This fee must be paid the day of the test. Placement may only be challenged once.
- Students who are required to take the COMPASS test for initial placement in DSP courses are not required to pay the $20.00 fee.
- Test date appointment may only be changed once without an additional fee.
- Test site location subject to change. Please verify time and location before day of test.
- Placement results will be mailed to students within a week of COMPASS test. Contact the University Advisement Center at (423)439-5244 for additional information.
