Pam came to ETSU from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she spent 27 years as a senior-level fundraiser working in major gifts, corporate relations, alumni relations, and administration. As senior director of Purdue’s Office of Corporate Relations from 2004-09, Pam managed offices in West Lafayette, Chicago, and Indianapolis and led effort to raise $450 million of the successful $1.7 billion “Campaign for Purdue” project. In addition, her team raised an average of $30 million in gifts and $20 million in in-kind gifts per year, for the past 11 years. Her duties also included developing long-range strategic plans and assisting university-wide programs with fundraising activities. Pam joined Purdue in 1987 and held such titles as director of Class Gifts and director of Development for the College of Technology before moving into corporate relations. Pam holds a B.S. degree in health education from Western Michigan University and an M.S. in health administration from Purdue. She is a member of the Network of Academic Corporate Relations Officers, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Prior to working in fundraising, Pam spent four years as a school teacher in Indiana and was a district representative for the American Cancer Society.
Andrew Amodei '03
Director of Development, College of Business and Technology
Andrew is a native of East Tennessee and attended ETSU, earning a B.A. in linguistics. He later earned a Masters of Divinity from Duke University and a Masters in Business Administration from Milligan College. Andrew served large downtown and rural churches for 14 years before working at ETSU. In his current role, Andrew is responsible for all fundraising activities for the College of Business and Technology.
Director of Development, Claudius G. Clemmer College of Education
Aleisha joined ETSU in July 2016 after serving as Director of Annual Fund Marketing for the University of Tennessee where she worked closely with the campuses and institutions in the UT system to plan, coordinate and implement direct mail, email and phonathon campaigns. An East Tennessee native, she attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and completed a B.S in Communication degree with a concentration in public relations. With a background in communications, Aleisha volunteered her time and services with various organizations in the Knoxville area, including Maryville City Schools Foundation and Leadership Knoxville, and also served as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of East TN. She is currently serving as Director of Development for the Claudius G. Clemmer College of Education where she will be responsible for the development and coordination of a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan to increase private support for the college. She is also a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Aleisha enjoys spending her time outdoors exploring the beauty of East TN with her husband and two dogs.
Director of Development, University Programs
Kelly came to the East Tennessee/Southwest Virginia area from Southern California where she was born and raised. She received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Western State University, College of Law, where she was honored with the American Jurisprudence Award for Business Procedure and Legal Writing. Kelly worked several years as a Sales Manager/Marketing Coordinator for Landry’s, Inc., where she was responsible for major growth in outside sales during her tenure there. Kelly also spent eleven years as a Fundraising Coordinator as well as held various other roles at the elementary and secondary education levels. She was a Campaign Manager for local bi-partisan election and worked on annual campaigns for local charities. Kelly is married and has two daughters and one beautiful little a granddaughter. She is currently serving as the Director of Development for University Programs which include the School of Continuing Studies and Academic Outreach, School of Graduate Studies, Honors College and the Sherrod Library.
Assistant Director of Annual Giving
Jeff Cogburn, an educational activist, joined ETSU full-time in January 2016. Jeff is a native of Greeneville, Tennessee and has called ETSU his home for several years now. Jeff graduated from ETSU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Leadership and in 2016, complete his Masters in Business Administration. Prior to this position, Jeff served as a temporary employee for both the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of University Advancement. Within his current role, he analyzes and manages financial reports and scholarship processes, oversees the cultivation and stewardship of donors as well as serves as the project manager on all direct mail, e-mail, and leadership annual giving appeals. Jeff takes an interest in public speaking, evidenced by speaking roles in ETSU Academics and community showcases. In addition to his job responsibilities, Jeff enjoys being an active community member, serving on several boards and committees including the Niswonger Children’s Hospital Celebrity Classic. When he is not working you can find Jeff on the golf course, supporting local businesses, or out boating with his dog Everly.
Laure Craddock, originally from Grafton, Ohio, lived in the Sarasota, Florida area for most of her life. A graduate of Riverview High School in Sarasota, she also attended Sarasota County Vocational-Technical Center, graduating with a Certificate in Occupational Office Training in 1976, and was an active member of the Future Business Leaders of America. After having spent most of her career at Florida Power and Light Company as an Administrative Assistant, she came to ETSU in 2007 and joined the Advancement Staff. In 2009, she earned a Certified Professional Secretary rating from the International Association of Administrative Professionals in Blountville, Tennessee. She provides support to the Executive Director of Annual Giving and the Director of Development, for University Advancement. Laure and her husband John have 3 children, and 3 grandchildren, who all live in the Tri-city area.
Leslie Dalton Director of Development, College of Clinical & Rehabilitative Health Sciences & College of Nursing
Leslie Dalton joined the ETSU Advancement team after serving as the Executive Director at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Northeast Tennessee, a local nonprofit. Leslie has a B.A. in Journalism from the University West Florida and received her Master’s degree in Public Administration in 2012. She has served on several local boards and held the position of Child and Family Committee Chair for the Northeast TN Council on Children and Youth for four years. Leslie is a graduate of the Unicoi County and the Johnson City/ Washington County Leadership Programs. Having grown up in the military, she has called many places home including California, Florida, Italy and Germany. Her three boys are very active in sports and her oldest will graduate from University High in 2017.
Assistant Director of Development, Student Affairs & Roan Scholars
Ben joined the ETSU University Advancement team in June 2016. Originally from Southern California, Ben attended ETSU after relocating to Tennessee. He graduated from ETSU with a B.B.A in General Business Management in 2008 and continued on to earn his M.B.A. in 2010. Prior to his appointment as a development officer, Ben spent four years working for ETSU in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a counselor and recruiter. Previous to that, he worked with in Advancement Services at ETSU. In his current role, Ben is responsible for managing and developing the fundraising initiatives within the Division of Student Affairs, as well as the Roan Scholars Leadership Program. He is the current staff advisor for the ETSU chapter of Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity and has also served as adjunct faculty within the ETSU College of Business and Technology. Ben lives in Johnson City with his wife, two dogs, and (due in October 2016) their newborn son.

Nicole joined the University Advancement team in August, 2015. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in May 2014, majoring in Accounting. Her current duties include processing gifts and data management.
Senior Technology Coodinator
Donald earned his B.S. degree in 1992 from ETSU in Mathematics, with a minor in Computer Science, and worked for nearly three years in the Quillen College of Medicine’s Office of Academic Affairs before moving to University Advancement in September 1996. His primary duties include reporting from the Banner Advancement database, compiling reports using data from multiple sources (such as the annual Voluntary Support of Education survey), and providing technical training and support to other Advancement employees . Donald is a member of the Association for Advancement Services Professionals (AASP). He and his wife Leigh Anne Harvill, a 1994 ETSU graduate, have two children, Gracelyn (15) and Jackson (7). Donald is an Eagle Scout, and a den leader in Cub Scout Pack 25 in Johnson City.
Originally from Ohio, Mitzi moved to East Tennessee in 2001 where she began her ETSU work career. In 2013, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Business and a concentration in Accounting. She then moved to Prescott, Arizona where she continued to work in academia and study, receiving an MBA from Grand Canyon University in January 2016. Mitzi returned to East Tennessee to be near family and friends in February 2016 and was assigned as Office Manager for University Advancement on March 1, 2016. Her responsibilities include coordinating administrative services for University Advancement and providing direct executive support to the Vice President for Advancement.
Financial Management Analyst
Peggy monitors and manages the budget function to ensure compliance with university procedures and accounting standards. Peggy joined University Advancement in 2001 after several years of professional experience with a regional private accounting firm and in other private sector capacities as well. Peggy earned the status of Certified Professional Secretary in 2009 from the International Association of Administrative Professionals. She has a bachelor’s degree from Milligan College and a master’s degree from ETSU.
Pam originally joined Advancement in October 2015. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business, an Associate of Arts in Psychology/Sociology, and later a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies/Pre K-6, all from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia. Prior to coming to ETSU, Pam taught for 20 years and was one of 12 Child Care Resource and Referral Specialist and Parenting Liaison for the state of Tennessee. She served on numerous boards representing various facets of education and child development and was a presenter at the ETSU Early Childhood Conference, the TN Early Childhood Conferences in Nashville and Knoxville, in addition to “School Age Rocks,” a conference held at Milligan College. In her current position, Pam provides services for guests at our front desk, and delivers general support for the Advancement Office. Pam and her husband, Jackie, are native to East Tennessee, have 3 children, and 2 dogs.

Executive Director of Planned Giving
Sunny graduated Summa Cum Laude from East Tennessee State University in 2006 with a degree in Mass Communications. She went on to earn her doctorate of jurisprudence from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where she earned the award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing, was a member of the Negotiation Team of Moot Court, and served as the American Bar Association Representative for the law school. Upon graduation Sunny returned to Johnson City, Tennessee, and married Jay Sandos, ‘Voice of the Bucs,’ (ETSU class of 2000) in 2009. She practiced law for nearly seven years in general civil practice and insurance defense in the Tri-Cities before returning to ETSU as an employee in March 2016. Among other duties, Sunny is responsible for planned gift arrangements through the drafting of proposals for trusts, gift annuities, wills, life insurance policies, and life estates. She remains active in the community and serves as Vice- President for the Washington County Bar Association and is President of the Northeast Tennessee Young Lawyers Association for the Tennessee Bar Association. Sunny and her husband have a daughter, Jacey, and twin sons, Rhett and James.
Aaron Scott Director of Development, Colleges of Pharmacy and Public Health
Aaron was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He first came to east Tennessee to attend Milligan College, where he earned a BA in History and received his teaching certification. After teaching five years of middle school Social Studies, Aaron began his career in fundraising and non-profit administration. He first served as an Administrative Assistant for the Reba Place Development Corporation, a faith-based affordable housing ministry in Evanston, Illinois. Since relocating back to east Tennessee, Aaron worked as the Development Communications Coordinator for Emmanuel Christian Seminary and later, as the Development Manager for Family Promise of Greater Johnson City, a faith-based non-profit that assists homeless families with children. Before joining University Advancement at ETSU in May 2016 as the Director of Development for the Colleges of Pharmacy and Public Health, Aaron served in the Academic Technology Support office at ETSU. He is also currently pursuing his Masters in Public Administration degree from ETSU. A husband and father of three children, Aaron enjoys spending time with his family, participating in church activities and ministries, and watching and playing sports.

Jon See is the Executive Director for Annual Giving at East Tennessee State University, arriving in November 2015. In this capacity, Jon is responsible for acquiring, upgrading, and renewing contributors to the University. Retired from the U.S. Air Force since 2003, Jon worked at Purdue University since 1997, working in Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), Information Technology, the College of Engineering, and in Corporate Relations. Jon is a graduate of the Community College of the Air Force and Concordia University—Wisconsin. He has a 19-year-old son named Tyler and a dog named Odie.

Haley Stiltner currently serves as the part-time Technology Coordinator within Advancement Services. She began as a part-time employee for University Advancement in May 2013, and began working for Advancement Services in August 2013. She attained a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2010 from ETSU with a major in Economics, and a minor in Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music Studies. Haley completed her Master of Business Administration degree in 2012 from ETSU. Haley started playing bass professionally with the Little Roy and Lizzy Show in January 2016 in addition to working to at ETSU. She enjoys travelling with the band and meeting new people immensely. Haley resides in Elizabethton, TN with her two cats and enjoys sitting on her back porch in her rocking chair listening to records in her spare time.

Karen is originally from Wichita, Kansas. Her baccalaureate degree is in Broadcast Communications from Southern Illinois University, with a minor in Minority Studies. As a former military spouse, she has lived in many places throughout the continental United States, from New York to California. Her working career began in broadcasting, as a reporter and announcer for a local television affiliate in Wichita, continued as a Production Assistant for the pilot and first season of “20/20,” and as a D.J. in Louisiana. Moving to Johnson City in 1991, her roles at ETSU have included those of Program Advisor for Multicultural Affairs; Financial Aid Counselor; and Assistant Director of Adult, Commuter, and Transfer Student Services. She has served on many university committees, has served as President of the ETSU Staff Senate. Karen is responsible for the research of donor prospects, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Michael Webb Director of Development, College of Arts and Sciences
Michael joined the ETSU family in May 2016. He is a native of Mount Airy, NC but has called East Tennessee home for over 10 years. Michael earned bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and History from King University. He later earned a Masters of Arts in Intelligence Studies from American Military University. Prior to this position, Michael served King University for six years in a multitude of roles with his final position being the Director of Alumni Relations. In his current role at ETSU, Michael is responsible for all fundraising activities for the College of Arts and Sciences. Michael resides in Blountville, TN with his wife, Dr. Shauna Nefos Webb, and their dog, Teddy.

Beth came to ETSU in March of 2016 from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee where she served as Director of Advancement Services for 16 years. Beth implemented numerous software systems and process improvements while supporting two comprehensive capital campaigns during her tenure at Sewanee. She likes to describe her responsibilities as encompassing “behind the scenes” support for the Advancement division. Beth has an undergraduate degree in Music Education and a Master in Business Administration degree from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. She is a member of the Association of Advancement Services Professionals and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. Beth enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, 22 year old daughter, Kate, and 18 year old son, Jake. She also enjoys all forms of music and serving in various community volunteer roles.

Bob is a 1984 graduate of ETSU with a bachelor’s of science in social science. In 1987, he completed a master of education degree in education administration. Plummer also completed the Harvard Graduate School of Education Management Development Program at the Institute for Higher Education in 2000. Plummer has completed an Ed.D. degree from ETSU's Clemmer College of Education, Department of Educational Leadership in 2014. Bob has been employed at ETSU in a variety of roles, including work in athletics, student affairs, and business and finance units. His primary current responsibility is administration of university- wide alumni programs, serving nearly 85,000 graduates.

Karen is a 1990 graduate of ETSU with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in illustration. She began working with the ETSU Alumni staff in 2014 after working in the media for the past 20 years. Karen’s main functions are updating the website, sending electronic newsletters, updating alumni records, and creating promotional material for the Alumni Office. Karen is married and has two sons, one at Austin Peay, and the other at Science Hill High School.
Lee Ann Davis

Lee Ann graduated from ETSU with a degree in Mass Communication in 1991 and in 2009 completed a Masters of Professional Studies in Strategic Leadership. As the Director of Alumni Programs, Lee Ann serves as a primary contact with alumni and friends. Her primary duties include planning, promoting, and conducting alumni activities. She also cultivates volunteer leadership for alumni programs and develops new programs for ETSU alumni and students including the Alumni Mentor program, Student Recruitment activities, ETSU PRIDE, Homecoming, Affinity group reunions, Alumni recognition programs and Spring Alumni Weekend. In addition, Lee Ann works with local media to promote ETSU alumni-centric stories, helps produce promotional videos for alumni initiatives, serves as the webmaster for the alumni website www.etsualumni.org and coordinates many of the ETSU National Alumni Association’s social media communication channels.
Leisa Harvey began working at ETSU in 2002 and joined the Alumni Staff as Office Coordinator in September, 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University. Harvey’s main functions as Office Coordinator are planning meetings and events facilitated by the Alumni Office Staff and managing the Office’s daily budgeting activities. Harvey also facilitates fee collection and ticketing for events and the fulfillment of products available for purchase by alumni and friends. Her husband, Travis, is Maintenance Lead Worker at Shelbridge.

Cyndi Ramsey joined the Alumni Staff in March, 2007. She graduated from ETSU in 2006 with a degree in Education with an emphasis in English. Cyndi’s main duties include alumni event organization and support, affinity group relations engaging special interests and segments of the alumni population, assisting with alumni social media sites, student- alumni outreach including the College Tour, Real World 101 and the annual golf tournament, as well as the ETSU ambassador program which enlists alumni volunteers to represent ETSU’s President at Inaugurals and Convocations, as well as other events. She first joined the office as an Information Research Technician before promotion to her current role. Cyndi has also performed and taught various forms of dance and ballet on a regular basis and danced professionally for a ballet company in North Carolina.

Caleb comes to Advancement after serving the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics as Associate Director of Game-Day Logistics for the inaugural return season of Buccaneer Football. Caleb originally joined the Alumni Staff as a Graduate Assistant in 2011, completing his MBA in 2013. Caleb’s current duties are to spearhead the Grads of the Last Decade (GOLD) alumni group, the Student Alumni Association, as well as working on advertising sales for ETSU Today. Caleb also provides support to multiple ETSU events and alumni activities, growing loyalty and support for the institution.
