Mrs. Robinson was inducted into the Golden 50's Club and helped lead in the class of 1992 during spring commencement. Her husband, Palma L. Robinson, was elected to the State Legislature in 1969, and upon his death, she was appointed to fill his unexpired term in January 1982. She served in the 93rd, 94th, 95th, 96th, and 97th General Assemblies before her retirement last November. While in the House, she served on the Agriculture and Health and Human Resources Committees as well as the House Ethics Committee. She is currently an elder and Clerk of the Session at Salem Presbyterian Church, chair of the Area Council on Aging, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Jonesborough Senior Center, and of the board of directors of the Appalachian Girl Scout Council.
