Community Involvement:

  • Volunteer for Hospice Home Care, Searcy, AR. Responsibilities involved visiting terminally ill patients for an average of one hour per week.  Also, familiar with OSHA and HIPPA standards for health care. Spring 2005.
  • Field Placement experience at White County Group Homes, Searcy, AR, assisting adult women in a group home setting.  Responsibilities included mentoring, overseeing chores, resolving conflicts, providing assistance, and providing social and moral support for the women.  Supervised by Donna Ramsey and Violet Roland. Fall 2004.
  • Buddy Walk, Memphis, TN. Community walk to support Down’s Syndrome research and outreach.  Spring 2005.
  • Race for the Cure, Little Rock, AR.  Community walk/run to support breast cancer research and outreach.  Fall 2004.

  • Assistant to House Manager, White County Group Homes, Searcy, AR.  Responsibilities encompassed field placement duties as well as providing care for the women when the house manager is away, Spring 2005.
  • Senior Customer Service Associate at Movie Gallery, Summer - Fall 2004, Summer – Fall 2006 with manager-on-duty responsibilities.  Responsibilities included handling customer service, cashier responsibilities, stock responsibilities, manager-on-duty responsibilities.
  • Administered telephone surveys for Wilkins Research, Inc., a private marketing research firm, Summer 2003.
