Research Experience:

 

Undergraduate Research Associate for the Applied Psychology Laboratory at ETSU (APL).  Director: Dr. Chris S. Dula. January 2006 to Present. Responsibilities include development and implementation of research protocol; literature research and review; data collection, coding, entry, and analysis; preparation and presentation of research.

 

Currently directing the following independent APL research project:

-         Personality and Homelessness Stereotyping.

 

Currently assisting with the following independent APL research project:

-           Risky Driving Behaviors and Cell Phone Use. Directed by Dr. Chris S. Dula.

 

Previously assisted with the following independent APL research projects:

-         Self-Esteem and Risky Sexual Behavior. Directed by Sonia L. Coney, Graduate Research Associate.

-         Prisoner’s Perceptions of Treatment Programs and Psychological Disorders in Prison. Directed by Lindsay Heber, Graduate Research Associate.

 

Field Experience:

 

Field interviews and naturalistic observation of homeless individuals for purposes of monitoring and studying the increased incident of homelessness in the region. Project maintained by the Appalachian Regional Coalition against Homelessness; Supervised by Donald Minor, Johnson City, TN.
