Research Experience:
Undergraduate Research Coordinator for the Applied Psychology Laboratory (APL) of ETSU. Director: Dr. Chris S. Dula. December 2008 to Present. Responsibilities include design and development of research protocol; Institutional Review Board protocol submissions and follow-up; organization and supervision of undergraduate researchers; data collection, entry, and analyses; mentoring peers on poster and paper presentations of data and assisting them with research opportunities; coordinating APL activities and student work; attending/leading weekly meetings for all lab personnel.
Independent Study for the Applied Psychology Laboratory (APL) of ETSU. Director: Dr. Chris Dula. August 2006- present. Worked as an Undergraduate Research Assoicate. Responsibilities included: data analysis, data entry, field data collection, literature search, literature review, piloting studies, and SONA construction.
Past Projects:
Measure Development and Evaluation. August 2006-May 2007. Developing measure to analyze correlation between rebellion and respect. Responsibilities include literature search, literature review, assisting with SONA questions and SONA construction. Project Leaders: Fran Chumney, Chris Dula, & Heather Hyder.
Sexual Coercion: Religion and Sexual Attitudes aspect. January 2007-April 2007. Researching literature to determine if there is a correlation between religiosity and sexual attitudes. To see if religion influences the decision to remain a virgin and reject premarital sex. Responsibilities include literature search literature review, and forming hypotheses. Project Leaders: Kelly Lingerfelt & Fran Chumney.
Impulsivity Differences between Tattooed and Non-Tattooed Populations. August 2007- August 2008. Studying the Stigmas associated with the tattooed population. Responsibilities included: researching literature, literature review, data entry, SONA questions, data analysis, constructing a formal presentation. Project Leaders: Ben Martin.
Current Projects:
Dangerous Driving Study. August 2007-present. Studying dangerous driving behaviors and seatbelt usage. Responsibilities included: researching literature, literature review, data entry, field data collection, running the driving simulator, and piloting the driving diaries. Project Leaders: Ben Martin, Bobby Russell, Russell Fox & Chris Dula.
More Than Skin Deep. August 2008-present. Studying the stigmas of the tattooed population, looks at faculty and students. Responsibilities included: SONA questions, literature review, literature search, and creating and presenting the poster presentation. Project leaders: Ben Martin and Chris Dula.
