Participant Pool:
Hosted by Sona Systems and the ETSU network, the psychology department's online participant pool is specifically for students enrolled in any course taught by a participating instructor. All you have to do is visit the site, create an account for yourself, and then select the studies you would like to participate in. Participation is completely anonymous. That means no researcher will know who responded in what way to what questions! Most of the surveys that will be available on Sona will take 10-60 minutes to complete, and be worth .5 points or more. When you create your account, you will identify the participating courses you are taking this semester, and the system will automatically award your extra credit points at the end of the semester. In fact, you can reassign your extra credit points until the end of the semester to make sure that you get the extra credit wherever you need them the most.
Instructors who are interested in more information about making this option avilable to their students should contact Chris Dula at dulac@etsu.edu or 423-439-8307. A list of instructors and courses currently offering course credit for participation in online research can be found at the bottom of this page.
