Welcome to the official web site of the Program for the Study of Infancy at East Tennessee State University. This is a research laboratory led by Wallace E. Dixon, Jr., PhD and Andrea D. Clements, PhD from the Department of Psychology and Kerry Proctor-Williams, PhD from the Department of Communicative Disorders. Each semester the lab is staffed by several graduate students and many undergraduate students.
Our Focus
The research studies conducted in the lab include topics such as the study of toddler temperament and language acquisition, prevention of preterm birth through stress reduction, and mother-child interaction and attachment.
