About Buffalo Mountain Park

 

Buffalo Mountain Park is a 723 acre city park acquired by a land exchange between Johnson City and the National Forest Service in 1991.

The park is located on the northwest slope of Buffalo Mountain and is a distinguished landmark in area.

The park boasts 14 miles of wilderness hiking trails, affording breathtaking views from White Rock and Tip Top or cool walks up Hartsell Hollow or to the Cascades. 

The park also has a large picnic area and is open 8:00am until sunset.
