Statement of Purpose

The Friends of Nature, a nonprofit citizens support group, is organized and operates for the purpose of assisting the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Johnson City to increase public awareness of the community's diverse natural areas and to promote the protection, conservation, and stewardship of such areas.  The Friends seek to accomplish its mission by providing the City and the public charitable and educational assistance, which includes resource information and support of quality nature related programs and activities.
