Event Description

JOHNSON CITY (January 9, 2013) – U.S. Congressman Phil Roe stopped at the Johnson City Community Health Center (JCCHC) Wednesday to present an American flag to Dr. Wendy Nehring, dean of the ETSU College of Nursing. Roe assisted in attaching the flag – which formerly flew over the U.S. Capitol Building – to the halyard so it could be raised to fly on the flagpole outside the entrance to the clinic.

The JCCHC is a state-of-the-art Community Health Center that offers a wide spectrum of primary and specialty health care services that are made possible through a partnership between the College of Nursing and the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (423) 926-2500.

Construction of the JCCHC was funded by a $6.8 million grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration.
