Department of Music to host Chamber Concert Saturday

JOHNSON CITY (Posted Feb. 5, 2013) – A Chamber Concert featuring works for strings and piano will be held at East Tennessee State University on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mathes Hall auditorium.

The program includes Frank’s “Violin Sonata in A Major,” Prokofiev’s “Cello Sonata, Op. 119” and Mendelssohn’s “Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor, Op. 49.”

These pieces will be performed by three young professors: violinist Dr. Yu-Mei Huang from Texas A&M International University; cellist Guangyu Xie from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music; and pianist Dr. Chih-Long Hu of ETSU.
