Event Description
The 2013 Appalachian Student Research Forum is scheduled for April 4th at the Millennium Centre in Johnson City, TN.
The Forum is a regional competition in which participants present their research in a formal setting, and is open to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students, as well as post-docs, residents, and fellows from universities and colleges across the Appalachian region.
As always, the Forum will highlight independent, faculty-mentored student research in the form of both poster and oral presentations.
Presentations will be accepted in each of the following categories: Arts and Humanities, Biomedical and Health Sciences, Business, Education and Learning, Engineering and Technology, Natural Sciences, and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Last year, 180 students from 31 departments across the University participated in this event along with 7 students from other regional institutions, culminating in $5,250 awarded to students with outstanding presentations.
