Faculty Brass to present ‘Getting Down to Brass Tacks’

PLEASE NOTE: The start/end date above is NOT the event date.  This event will be held Nov. 20.

JOHNSON CITY – The East Tennessee State University Faculty Brass will be “Getting Down to Brass Tacks” in concert on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 105 S. Boone St.

The brass faculty from the ETSU Department of Music will perform standard brass solo literature and collaborate on Thibault’s “Alla Cubana” for brass quartet and Turrin’s “Solarium” for brass quartet and piano.

Members include Jimmie Self, euphonium; David Bubsey, trombone; Jeffery Whaley, horn; and Dr. David Champouillon, trumpet. They will be joined by Jerilyn Paolini on piano.
