Over 100 Hispanic students from eight high schools throughout Northeast Tennessee will be in attendance. The event, which encourages students to graduate from high school and attend a post-secondary institution, includes motivational speakers and information about scholarships, financial aid, admissions and the application process.
Students will tour campus and have the opportunity to speak with professionals in various fields of study regarding their particular interests and course of studies. They will also have lunch on campus and see videos in which other Hispanic students share their college experiences.
Hispanic Student Day is organized and directed by ETSU’s Language and Culture Resource Center and continues to receive support and sponsorship from Northeast State Community College, Milligan College and King College. Various ETSU organizations, including the Hispanic American Student Community Alliance and Upward Bound, will participate.
