Bucky's 5k Jingle Bell Run

Event Description
The Buccaneer Athletic Scholarship Association is hosting Bucky’s 5k Jingle Bell Run on December 1st, 2012 on the ETSU campus. The race will be themed around holiday spirit, and participants will be encouraged to wear their best festive attire. Competitors will start the race outside of Summers-Taylor Soccer Stadium and finish the 5k run inside the stadium for an exciting finish. Competitors can choose to run or walk, so anyone can find the pace that is right for them. Walkers will be allowed to have strollers and are encouraged to bring their dogs along for the holiday fun. Prizes for overall winners and age groups will be provided. The location of the race provides ample opportunity for spectators to access the course at multiple points and also allows aid stations and volunteers ease of set up and re-supply. We Run Events, an established sports management company that has helped provide timing for events such as Crazy 8’s “The World’s Fastest 8k” and the IMG New York City Marathon, will be doing the timing for Bucky’s 5k Jingle Bell Run. The proceeds from this race will provide scholarships to ETSU athletes.
