ETSU’s Quillen College of Medicine to host medical summer camp

Event Description

JOHNSON CITY (February 8, 2013) – Rural high school students who plan to pursue careers in medicine can get an early glimpse of the field by attending the Rural High School Medical Summer Camp, which will be held June 9-14 at East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine.

Students from rural high schools who are at least 16 years old may apply for the camp, which will include job shadowing, information on various fields of medicine, field trips, lectures and hands-on activities related to medical education. Participants will stay on campus in Centennial Hall.

Tuition is $175 and includes room, meals, supplies, extracurricular activities and transportation.
