Event Description
JOHNSON CITY (Posted Feb. 19, 2013) – East Tennessee State University now has its own app.
The ETSU Mobile App is available for Android and iOS mobile devices and features a variety of modules, including maps, courses, athletics, campus directory, iTunesU, D2L (Desire2Learn) and more.
Those using an iOS device with GPS-activated services may also take an audio- and video-guided campus tour.
“Considerable time has gone into designing this app, and we are very excited about the options that are available,” said Rob Nelson, director of instructional television services for ETSU. “For example, the ‘Courses’ module button provides contact information for each class, while the ‘Maps’ module will help guide visitors and new students across campus.”
“Ongoing work will be done to explore new uses for the ETSU App and to increase its functionality,” added Daniel Vanzant, electronic content developer with ETSU’s Office of eLearning who, along with Nelson, led the development team for the app.
The ETSU App is free. iOS device users can access the ETSU Mobile App by visiting the iOS App Store. Those with an Android device can download the app from Google play site. |
