Event Description A Special Panel Discussion brought to you by several departments and student organizations at East Tennessee State University, that will discuss how social media has influenced political coverage, and what it holds for the future of our democracy. Panelists include: Bob Cesca - Bob Cesca is the editor of The Daily Banter and BobCesca.com, and has been a featured columnist for the Huffington Post since August, 2005. Chez Pazienza - CEO of DXM Media, an award-winning television news producer, editor of the website "Deus Ex Malcontent" and the author of "Dead Star Twilight." Chez produced and managed daily content for WSVN and WTVJ in Miami, KCBS, KNBC and KCAL in Los Angeles, and MSNBC and CNN in New York. Vanessa Valenti - Vanessa Valenti s a New York City-born and based blogger, activist, speaker and online strategist. She is currently the Managing Editor at the high-profile, award-winning blog, Feministing.com, which she co-founded with Jessica Valenti in 2004. Dr. John King - Dr. John M. King, ETSU professor of Public Relations/Mass Communication in the Department of Communication, has gained an international reputation for research, teaching and service.
