The trumpeter has to be able to work with many different instrumentalists in many different settings. Join ETSU Professor of Trumpet Dr. David Champouillon for the latest leg of the journey of recitals - Mixed Doubles! Along for the journey are fellow music department colleagues Jennifer Marshall, Heather Killmeyer, and Jessica Allison. Also joining the matches are Mark Davis and Ann Gouge. Works include Handel's "The Trumpet Shall Sound" for voice and trumpet from The Messiah, Telemann's Concerto for Trumpet and Two Oboes, Copland's "Quiet City" for English Horn and Trumpet, Mussorgsky's "Pictures from an Exhibition" for Trumpet and Organ, Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desire”, and Hovhaness' "Prayer of St. Gregory" for trumpet and horn. No need to travel to Wimbledon.....Game, set, and match to the audience as they have a front row reserved seat for a concert of mixed duets here in the states. |
