ETSU’s chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon celebrated Read Across America Day with South Side students

Event Description

JOHNSON CITY (March 6, 2013) – The members of East Tennessee State University’s chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity participated in Read Across America, celebrated in elementary schools throughout the United States and honoring the late Theodore Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. Geisel was also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.

On March 1, the brothers of the fraternity visited South Side Elementary School to read Dr. Seuss stories to the children in kindergarten, first, third and fourth grades. In addition, the fraternity members purchased and donated books to the school.
