Event Description This touring exhibition features 40 wooden msks from the Mas Museum in the Centro Cultural Antiguo Colegio Jesuita in Patzcuaro, Michoacan, Mesoamerican cultures used maskes in rituals and indigenous ceremonies, and over time, historians say, elements from indigenous and European cultures fused, prodcuing an especially interesing culutral merger reflected in the masks. Today, the masks reveal the history, values and attitudes of the people on topics ranging from religion to politics, race and the economy.
