Norfolk
Southern Railway Company is seeking qualified students to
fill the internship positions for
fall 2008 semester and beyond. The Co-op/Internship
programs are designed to allow students to gain work
experience during their college academic career. The
Co-op/Internship Program requires an individual to be a
full-time college student, have a formal arrangement with
their academic institution, and be able to alternate
full-time work and school semesters for two terms. The
internship program typically requires an individual to work
one summer semester, but the employer does have
opportunities available during fall and spring semesters as

JOB DESCRIPTION: Kingsport Convention and Visitors Bureau located in
Kingsport, Tennessee (KCVB) is a division of the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce
under contract with the City of Kingsport to develop tourism since its inception
in 1981. The purpose of the KCVB is to conduct programs of information and
publicity, designed to attract to Kingsport and the surrounding area,
conventions, athletic events, commercial travelers, tour groups and leisure
travelers.
Responsibilities will include:
assist with press conferences, design invitations and ads for special events and
publications, press kit development and assembly, events calendar research,
design, data entry and distribution, National Tourism Week campaign and media
coverage updates, Kingsport brochure research, writing and design and track
media coverage generated by KCVB.
Interns at KCVB work on a variety of hardware and software including a state -
of - the - art networked computer system with Adobe PhotoShop, Quark! Xpress,
Envisions scanner, Microsoft Word, and Access.
Salary: Volunteer
Hours: 10-19 hr/pr/wk
