The advertising profession is a broad category offering very distinct and exciting career opportunities. The advertising concentration at ETSU helps you find your talents and match them with the advertising career you will find the most rewarding. For instance, if you’re a people person who likes to think creatively, but also likes the business world, then you sound like an Account Executive. If you like spending money and negotiating deals, then look into becoming a Media Planner or Media Buyer. You could be the kind of person who likes digging through research to find where a competitor is most vulnerable or where your client can gain an edge, if so becoming a researcher for an advertising agency or a research company like Nielson might sound great. Finally, if you’re a creative person who loves to write messages meant to influence, you sound like a Copywriter, if you already have PhotoShop on your computer and love design, you’re definitely a Graphic Artist.
