Scholarships
To be eligible for the following scholarships for Art and Design majors, apply directly to the Department of Art and Design unless otherwise noted. The annual deadline for these awards is March 15th unless noted.
Holly Adams Scholarship
• Rising Junior
• Minimum GPA- 2.8

Amount: $1000 towards tuition
• Rising Sophomore (2nd semester freshman)

Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts Scholarship
Amount: Funds for housing and materials for summer at Arrowmont
• Undergraduate or Graduate
Art Scholars Program through ETSU Honors College
• High School GPA = 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
• Scholastic exam scores, ACT = 22 (composite total without writing) or SAT = 1050 (include total of math and reading scores only).

Amount: Equal to out-of-state tuition and fees, Renewable
• Out of State full-time Art and Design student
• Minimum GPA- 2.0
• Must take at least one studio art class a semester

Amount: 1 or 2 week tuition to Penland summer class
• Must be an art education major

Lynn Whitehead (Ceramics) Scholarship
Amount: $1000
• Junior or Senior
• B.F.A. major
• Requirements prior to application include:
Research visit to the B. Carroll Reece Museum to review Lynn Whitehead's artist statement, philosophy, and work.
Submit three pieces* of artwork and completed application plus four copies. (*One piece from the scholarship recipient's submissions will be selected for the permanent collection of the museum. )
