The field of speech communication is more than knowing how to give a speech. ETSU speech students learn how communication functions in families, relationships, and organizations. If you want to be a leader, this is the right major for you.

The most visible people in our society have mastered the ability to communicate. Speech communication career paths include: health communication, , legal communication, political communication, gender/diversity training, organizational/group leadership, and global/domestic management. Consider, for instance, a career as a political campaign director, corporate communication liaison, mediation specialist, communication consultant, governmental press secretary, training and development coordinator, health care advocate, or client/sales representative, just to mention a few.
