GRE ( Graduate Record Exam)

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) measures verbal reasoning, quantitative and verbal reasoning and analytical writing skills required for admission to graduate school.

These sections are included on the exam:

Analytical Writing

  • 2 essays
  • 60 min
  • 1 essay is to analyze an issue
  • 1 essay is to analyze and argument

Verbal reasoning

  • 2 sections
  • 20 questions per section
  • 30 min per section

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Quantitative reasoning

  • 2 sections
  • 20 questions per section
  • 35 min per section

Scoring

  • Verbal reasoning: 130-170 (1 point increments)
  • Quantitative reasoning: 130-170 (1 point increments)
  • Analytical Writing: 0-6 (5 point increments)
