New!! for 2010

Cara Copeland, has recently been selected for award of an ETSU Honors College Summer Research Fellowship for 2010.  Cara and Dr. Brooks Pond, College of Pharmacy, won for their joint proposal entitled "Analysis of the pharmacokinetic profile of methylphenidate after prenatal exposure in mice."

Daniel Armentrout, was nominated for this year's NETS-ACS Award presented by the Northeast TN Section of the American Chemical Society which recognizes outstanding seniors from each of the area's colleges and universities.

On April 8, 2010, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs held The Appalachian Student Research Forum at the Centre at Millennium Park.   The Chemistry Department was well represented this year.  C. Alissa Manz Hinkle, won first place in Division I – Undergraduates Group A Poster Presentation with the title “Dispersibility of Coated Nano-Silver in Organic Media.”   Lee Williams and Dr. Aleksey Vasiliev were co-authors on this paper.
