Degree Programs
The Department of Chemistry offers a course of study leading to the Bachelor of Science degree that meets the needs of students who plan a career in chemistry, who plan to teach chemistry in secondary schools, or who need a strong chemistry background for their chosen field. It offers four concentrations designed for different career goals, a minor, and a teacher education program.
Undergraduate Program
The Department of Chemistry offers a Master of Science degree with concentrations in the four traditional major areas of chemistry: analytical, inorganic, organic and physical. The program is designed, through advanced courses and individual research, to prepare the student for a career as a chemistry or for continued study in a rigorous doctoral program.
