NETSACS Program

NETS-ACS (Northeast Tennessee Section - American Chemical Society) holds monthly dinner meetings throughout the academic year with national speakers on a variety of scientific and general interest topics. Additionally, we hold a spring Awards Meeting where outstanding students, teachers, and our "Speaker of the Year" are recognized.  Our largest annual event is the National Chemistry Week "Celebration of Chemistry for Fourth Graders" which brings together over 1300 fourth graders and 400 volunteers for two days of chemistry demonstrations and activities. Other NETS-ACS activities include Grant and Internships for area High School Teachers, Chemistry Field Trips, Chemistry Demonstrations, and Science Saturday labs for High School Students.

NETS-ACS is open to anyone with an interest in chemistry. There are no membership dues. Sign up for our email distribution list by sending an email to Mohseni@etsu.edu.
