Kristn Clark Fry

Kristn Clark Fry began her professional career as assistant news director for WJCW Radio, summer of 1973, after receiving her bachelor’s degree in journalism from ETSU. Hired at the Johnson City Press as an assistant, then associate, she became the women's editor later that same year. In 1977, Fry joined the Office of University Relations at ETSU and has held a variety of positions within the UR Division, including News & Information Services, University Press, University Photo Lab and WETS-FM public radio affiliate. Fry is now ETSU director of News & Information Services. In the community, Fry works with Interfaith Hospitality Network for homeless families and its Board of Trustees and is a longtime board member for the American Heart Association. Through the ETSU Foundation, she is a member of the Distinguished President's Trust and is a charter founder of the ETSU Reentry Scholarship and the George W. Kelly Scholarship in the Department of Communication.
